Intimate image removal

A picture or a clip of a real person that is intimate, that went up without them, or that went up with them and is no longer wanted. An AI or edited version of them counts too.

Who may ask

The person in it, a parent or guardian of a minor, or an authorised agent acting for either.

How fast

A case like this is a priority. Where the request is valid and we can actually find the thing, we aim to take it down, and the copies under our control with it, within 48 hours.

What to send

1. Your full legal name, and an e-mail we can answer at.

2. The country you live in.

3. In what capacity you write: the person in it, a parent or guardian, or an agent.

4. Enough to find the image: a link, a screenshot, a date, an id.

5. A line saying that, as far as you know, it went up without the person’s consent.

6. A line saying you are that person, or may act for them.

7. Your signature, on paper or typed.

If you are relying on the U.S. TAKE IT DOWN Act, add whatever declarations that law wants, including anything under penalty of perjury.

Do not send the file

A link or a crop is enough. Keeping the original out of the ticket makes everything easier.

Is an ID needed

Not automatically. If a request looks off, we may ask for something proportionate to settle it.

Where what you send ends up

Only the people handling the case see it, and it is never used to train a model.

The law outside this page

Nothing here uses up a right you have where you live. The U.S. TAKE IT DOWN Act (47 U.S.C. § 223(h)) is one such route, and the contact below works for it too.
